Progress has been very slow going. In a perfect world, I would be able to stitch a little bit each and every day. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world. I’m usually too tired to stitch when I come home from work and Radar has been super demanding this past week.
She won’t ever leave me alone! I love her company, but she just needs to chill out a bit! Of course, today, she was all up in my business until it got late and I needed to get ready for bed. Then and only then did she calm down and curl up on my lap. Sometimes, she should be more like Darth Kitty.
I made sure to get some progress worth posting. Granted, it isn’t much, but every little bit counts! I finished the very subtle foxgloves and some grass. Now you can really see the tail start to emerge! It’s those little fluffy bits on the sides. I also finished the backstitching in the top quarter of the design.
I don’t enjoy backstitching very much so I wanted to get some of it out of the way so it’s not all left for the end. I’m glad I did because this little fox has such expressive eyes! I’m going to finish the cross-stitches in the quarter I am working on, then the backstitch in the same quarter before I move on to the next quarter. Thankfully the fur and the tail don’t have a whole lot of back stitching going on.
I am in heaven stitching these Wrendales! I have two in my stash, three on order, and there are several more that Bothy Threads has released or will release. I currently have Practically Perfect and Believe In Magic and I can’t wait to start them!
